Healing in the Body of Christ, July 1, 2012

        Mark 5: 21-43
There are two beautiful stories of healing that Mark weaves into one. The daughter of the prominent man Jarius, and the woman who has been suffering from a disease which makes her an outcast - both need and receive the healing of Jesus.
The two could not have been more different - one the fair child of a rich man; the other considered a pariah to be avoided on the streets. One must force her way to wholeness, the other is dependent on the care of others. Jesus cares for them both, and asks us practice the wideness of God's mercy.
